Liksutov spoke about the results of the carsharing service in Moscow over the past 10 years.

Over the past 10 years, Muscovites and guests of the capital have made over 360 million trips using rental carsharing vehicles. This was stated by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

"Carsharing is a good opportunity for citizens to take a car only when it is needed. We see that the demand for rental cars is growing every year, therefore, according to the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop the service," said Liksutov.

The deputy mayor recalled that from September 1, users will begin to undergo a single verification through the portal. mos.ru "This will allow us to receive up—to-date information about drivers even if documents are changed," Liksutov stressed, adding that the new measures will improve the safety of trips.

Currently, Moscow carsharing offers citizens 41 thousand cars of different classes. The average age of a carsharing car is 1.5 years — according to Liksutov, the capital has one of the youngest fleets in the world. Today, the deputy mayor continued, the service is actively used by more than 1.7 million people.

The vice Mayor also noted that an automobile exhibition dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Moscow carsharing is opening on the main square of the Northern River Station. It presents cars that can be rented in Moscow today, from retro cars to electric cars. Admission to the exhibition is free, it will be open from 10:00 to 19:00.
