Air defense forces destroyed five Ukrainian UAVs in three hours

The Air Defense Forces shot down five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of Russia in three and a half hours. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on August 22.

"From 8:30 to 12:00 Moscow time, five Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department's Telegram channel said.

Earlier that day, from 07:00 to 08:00 Moscow time, the air defense destroyed five drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia. According to the agency, two UAVs were eliminated over the Belgorod and Ryazan regions, one over the Lipetsk region.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense reported that the air defense forces shot down 54 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of the country overnight. It was clarified that 19 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, 11 over the Volgograd region, eight over the territory of the Rostov region, and seven over the Voronezh Region. In addition, three UAVs were shot down over the territories of the Belgorod and Orel regions, two over the Kursk region and one over the Crimea.
