Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in 2025. This was announced on August 22 by a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry on the official website.

"The SCO 2025 Summit will be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. Chinese President Xi Jinping will preside over the 25th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State and the SCOO+ meeting and deliver a keynote speech," the statement said.

It is noted that Xi Jinping will also hold a welcome banquet and bilateral events for the leaders of the SCO countries.
