On August 21, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation announced that the new rules for medical examination of drivers will enter into force on March 1, 2027.
"Changes to the procedure for organizing medical examinations of drivers, including changes in the form of a medical report, adopted by Federal Law No. 200-FZ of July 7, 2025 On Amendments to the Federal Law On Road Safety and Article 10 of the Federal Law On Personal Data, will enter into force on March 1, 2027. of the year," the agency's Telegram channel said.
According to the Ministry of Health, by the time the laws are in effect, all necessary by-laws and clarifications of the draft laws will be prepared.
The ministry stressed that there will be no changes in the medical examination of drivers from September 1, 2025.
Earlier, on July 31, the Ministry of Health denied the imminent transfer of certificates for drivers to digital form. There are no plans to introduce changes to the procedure for organizing medical examinations of drivers and the form of a medical report from August 1 of this year. They will enter into force on March 1, 2027.
By that time, the authorities will have adopted the necessary by-laws, and detailed explanations have been prepared, said Alexey Kuznetsov, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation. Updates to the procedure for organizing medical examinations for drivers, including changing the form of the medical report, will come into force in the spring of 2027.
