Private Aminov, with a shrapnel wound, continued to storm the AFU stronghold

Senior Sergeant Dmitry Denisov, at the head of the assault group, was securing the territory liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) when he noticed an approaching enemy FPV drone. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Friday, August 22, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Denisov immediately ordered the soldiers to take cover, after which he hid from the drone behind a tree and took out his personal weapon. After waiting for the drone to approach, the senior sergeant shot it down. The drone detonated in the air without harming the personnel, and the assault group continued its mission.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the resolute and selfless actions of the guard of Private Vladislav Aminov, who participated in the capture of a fortified enemy stronghold as part of an assault group.

On the approach to opornik, Aminov's group came under fire from the enemy. The Guard private decided to find a convenient point to return fire and took up a position behind the ruins of the destroyed building. After waiting for the command of the senior group, Aminov opened fire on the enemy. After some time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces decided to outflank the Russian troops, but Aminov stopped this attempt with several machine gun bursts.

During the storming of the stronghold, the soldier received a shrapnel wound in his shoulder, but managed to provide first aid to himself and continued to fire at the enemy until the task was completed. As a result, opornik came under the control of Russian military personnel.

Earlier, on August 21, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Guard Corporal Artem Elizariev, as part of the crew of a T-90 tank, performed a combat mission to support the offensive actions of the Russian infantry. During the battle, the tank managed to destroy two AFU strongholds, as well as several fortified positions.

Before that, on August 20, Guard Junior Lieutenant Sergei Kolchanov was conducting a reconnaissance of the area using a drone when he noticed a camouflaged AFU stronghold nearby. The soldier continued to observe and discovered that the enemy was pulling equipment and personnel to the support post, probably intending to counterattack units of the Russian army.
