The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Treasury Department has lifted restrictions related to Belarus from the Cyprus company Dana Holdings. This was reported on the agency's website on August 21.

The sanctions were also lifted against an individual, Nebojsa Karic, who holds a passport from Serbia and Cyprus and lives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Both an individual and a legal entity were previously included in the Belarus-EO14038 list, in which companies and people were confronted with asset blocking and obstruction of financial transactions.

On April 15, eight European states joined the European Union (EU) sanctions against the Republic of Belarus. Restrictions were imposed by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine.
