The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the liberation of the settlement of Alexandro-Shultino

The settlement of Alexandro-Shultino in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is the last point on the way of the Russian army to Konstantinovka from the south-eastern direction. This was announced on August 21 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, publishing footage of the liberation of the village by the Russian army.

It is specified that the liberation operation was carried out by soldiers of the 4th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces. During the assault, enemy firing points were destroyed with the support of artillery and drone units.

Despite the significant destruction, the Ukrainian army continued to hide in the basements of houses, however, thanks to regular practice of storming such shelters, the Russian military managed to clear the territory with charges from anti-tank mines, the defense ministry added.

The same number of people live in one of the largest cities in Ukraine.

The release of Alexandro–Shultino became known earlier in the day. It was clarified that the military also defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, mountain assault, and airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The enemy was defeated in the areas of the settlements of Seversk, Markovo, Nikolaevka, Minkovka and Vasyukovka in the DPR.
