Russian Natalia Nagovitsina, stuck at the peak of Victory in Kigrisia, decided on a very difficult and dangerous ascent. Vera Belikova, the administrator of the Karkyr base camp, told Izvestia about this on August 21.

"This is a very difficult mountain. It has never happened before that someone was filmed from [a height of] 7,100 m from Victory," she stressed.

According to Belikova, when climbing the peak, none of the climbers thinks about possible dangers, trying to remain optimistic.

The administrator added that Nagovitsina is a very strong and calm person. She has already had experience of climbing mountain peaks in the past, and many climbers know her. This year Nagovitsyna purposefully came to Kyrgyzstan to conquer a mountain peak.

"She communicates with all the climbers. Everyone respects her very much as a good, wonderful person," Belikova said.

The base camp administrator also pointed out the bravery of the climbers who brought food to the Russian woman right on Victory Peak in bad weather.

The day before, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, Adil Chargynov, said that reports of Nagovitsina's death were unsubstantiated assumptions. In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the ministry had established close contact with the embassy in Bishkek to rescue the climber.

It was noted that rescue helicopters could not reach the height of Victory Peak in difficult weather conditions, eight well-trained climbers went to help the stranded Russian woman.

The fact that 47-year-old Nagovitsina was stuck at Victory Peak was reported on August 19 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. She broke her leg during the descent and has been at altitude for a week. On the same day, a group of rescuers was sent to the woman. Almaz Sarbanov, a representative of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Defense, said it would take them three days to reach it.
