The Moscow Prosecutor's Office intends to initiate criminal prosecution of a 20-year-old resident of the capital for publicly insulting participants in a special military operation (SVO) online. This was reported on August 21 in the Telegram channel of the department.

"The materials of the prosecutor's check were sent to the investigative body to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution of the man under paragraph "b" of Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Incitement of hatred and enmity against a group of persons on the basis of belonging to a social group committed in public, including using information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet, associated with the justification or propaganda of the use of violence or the threat of its use")," follows from the publication.

It is clarified that a 20-year-old resident of the capital negatively assessed the conduct of a special operation by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (RF Armed Forces) and made statements aimed at inciting hatred against its participants.
