A diver suffered from a stingray attack in Nakhodka Bay

In Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai, a man who was diving in the Pleasure Harbor needed medical help.

The victim said that he noticed the stingray when he was at a depth of about 3 m, 20 m from the shore. The man tried to approach the marine life, but was hit. The diver's hands were damaged by the tail spike of the ramp: a laceration in the wrist area and multiple cuts, writes IA PrimaMedia with reference to the Telegram channel of the Nakhodka City Hospital.

According to the victim, due to being at sea, he felt almost no pain, only on shore he noticed blood loss. The diver's wife gave him first aid and took him to the hospital. There is no threat to the man's life.

Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that in the Bahamas, a 63-year-old tourist from the United States was seriously injured after being attacked by a shark while spearfishing. The victim was taken to a local medical facility with serious injuries, and then evacuated to the United States for further treatment. The Bahamian police noted that shark attacks in the region remain rare.
