Russian paratroopers destroyed three hexacopters and UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sumy region

Calculation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Tula Guards airborne unit from the North group of forces destroyed three cargo hexacopters and a reconnaissance UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). in Sumy region. This was announced on August 21 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that during the reconnaissance activities, the UAV operator noticed a Baba-Yaga type hexacopter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After assessing the situation, the drone operator decided to attack the AFU equipment.

A Russian drone flew up to the AFU hexacopter and, using a special device mounted on the quadcopter from below, dropped the net, confusing the propellers of the Ukrainian UAV. This caused the fall and explosion of the AFU hexacopter. The defeat of the targets was recorded by the cameras.

It is noted that two more "Baba Yaga" were also destroyed in a similar way.

After the elimination of the AFU hexacopters, the UAV operator of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) discovered an enemy reconnaissance quadcopter, which was subsequently shot down. The information obtained from it made it possible to reveal the locations of control points and takeoffs of reconnaissance drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that the calculation of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) from the North group of forces destroyed a cluster of Armed Forces personnel in the Sumy region. The ministry clarified that the enemy was detected by units of unmanned aerial vehicles. Having received the coordinates of the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was trying to hide in one of the strongholds, the gunners covered the specified square with an accurate salvo of a package of rockets, destroying the enemy infantry.
