Pensioner gave 1.5 million rubles to fraudsters in Vladivostok
In Vladivostok, telephone scammers deceived a 75-year-old pensioner. The man lost 1.5 million rubles.
According to the victim, he received a call from a stranger who introduced himself as a bank employee. The source said that someone was allegedly trying to withdraw money from the pensioner's account. The attacker convinced the elderly man to urgently transfer his savings to a "secure" account. This is reported by IA PrimaMedia.
The criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
In Yakutia, four people gave 2.6 million rubles to fraudsters in a day.
