More than 220 designers from different countries will take part in the Moscow Fashion Week.

More than 220 designers from different countries will take part in the fifth Moscow Fashion Week, which will be held from August 28 to September 2. This was told by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"Designers from Russia, China, Brazil, India, Turkey, South Africa and other countries will showcase their collections," Sergunina said.

In total, more than 100 shows will be held during the fashion week. They will be organized in Zaryadye Park (in the Parking Gallery, on the floating Bridge and the Kitaygorodskaya Wall), as well as at VDNH, Bolotnaya Square and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

There will also be a market in the Parking Gallery where those who wish will be able to purchase Russian-made clothes, shoes and accessories. A lecture hall with the participation of leading industry experts will open in the pavilion "Zapovednoye Embassy".

The international showroom for entrepreneurs will be located in the Zaryadye Concert Hall. It will become a platform for business acquaintances and negotiations.

The program also includes the World Fashion Shorts short film festival at the Artplay Design Center.

"The large-scale industry event will bring together more than 220 brands. The domestic industry will be represented by designers from 28 cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Murmansk, Yakutsk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk and Krasnodar," said Sergunina.

According to the fashion designers, Moscow Fashion Week helps designers form a stable identity by developing their own visual language. At the same time, this event shows every year how competitiveness in the Russian fashion industry is growing. Brands find new customers, get to know buyers, and occupy shelves on major marketplaces.

In addition, the third BRICS+ Fashion Summit international forum will be held in the capital at the end of August. The main theme is the creation of a new, decentralized and globally competitive ecosystem of the fashion industry.
