A man who beheaded two people was detained in Nizhny Novgorod.
Law enforcement agencies detained a man in Nizhny Novgorod who beheaded two people. A criminal case was opened into the incident. This was reported on August 20 in the Telegram channel of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the Nizhny Novgorod region.
"According to investigators, in August of this year, the accused, while in an apartment building on Rayevsky Street in Nizhny Novgorod, stabbed them in the neck with a knife during an argument with a man and a woman he knew earlier, after which he severed their heads," the report says.
In order to conceal the crime, the accused took body parts out of the apartment and hid them in the garage. After that, he disappeared. The victims of their injuries died at the scene.
A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two persons"). According to the agency, it was possible to identify the person involved in the commission of the crime. He turned out to be a 41-year-old Kaliningrad native who had previously been convicted of crimes against the person. In the near future, the court will choose a preventive measure against the defendant.
On August 19, a resident of Kuzbass was charged with the murder of two women and an attempt on the life of a third in accordance with paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 105 ("Murder of two persons") and part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons"). It is specified that investigators and criminologists examined the crime scene and found the murder weapon — a kitchen knife. An eyewitness to the murder was also questioned.
