France has launched an investigation into the death of a live streamer.
The Nice Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the causes of the streamer's death live on the Kick platform. This was reported by the newspaper Le Monde on August 20.
"46-year-old French influencer Raphael Graven, known in his broadcasts as Jean Pormanov, died <...> in southeastern France during a live broadcast on the Kick platform, which lasted more than 298 hours," the publication says.
It is specified that the incident occurred on August 18. The participants of the broadcast noticed the death of Graven, after which the broadcast was interrupted.
According to the newspaper, an autopsy was ordered as a result of the incident. The cause of the streamer's death is still unknown.
It is noted that in his broadcasts, Grave was repeatedly subjected to abuse by other streamers, better known under the pseudonyms Naruto and Safin. On social media, many Internet users reported the sudden termination of his live broadcast on the Kick platform after he had spent "10 days and nights of torture," including physical abuse, sleep deprivation, and ingestion of toxic products.
Naruto later confirmed the death of the streamer.
"Unfortunately, JD (Raphael Graven) left us last night. My brother, my friend, <...> we will miss you terribly," he wrote on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), his message is quoted by BFM TV.
The Bild newspaper reported on May 10 that the infamous German rapper of Iranian origin, who performed under the name Xatar (real name Jiwar Hajabi), died at the age of 44. It is clarified that there are no signs of a possible violent death of the rapper on the body. However, the exact cause of death will be announced after an autopsy and examinations.
