In the first half of 2025, the number of Indian tourists visiting Russia increased by 25%. This was announced on August 20 by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov during the 26th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

According to him, the mutual tourist flow between Russia and India is increasing against the background of active intercultural exchange.

"The growing interest in Russia on the part of Indian citizens is particularly noteworthy. In the first half of this year, the number of Indian tourists who visited our country increased by a quarter," Manturov said.

Earlier in the day, Manturov pointed to an almost sevenfold increase in trade turnover between Russia and India. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, the states have transferred more than 90% of payments to national currencies. Manturov added that an important task is to ensure the continuity of mutual settlements.
