Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was announced on August 20 by the press service of the Government of the Republic.
"During the meeting, issues on the bilateral agenda between Armenia and Russia were discussed. The interlocutors touched upon topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union," the ARKA news agency quoted the statement.
In addition, issues on the bilateral agenda between the two countries were discussed during the meeting. The dynamics of trade turnover, as well as the implementation of joint programs, were discussed.

On August 9, Pashinyan allowed the Russian Federation to invest in the reconstruction of the railway between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to him, Russia may be interested in investments to restore the railway between the Armenian cities of Ijevan — Hrazdan, as well as Ijevan—Gazakh in Azerbaijan.
