PSB gave business advice on the development of the Chinese market

Digital communications and the use of social media, in particular WeChat, provide a great advantage when Russian companies enter the Chinese market, said Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at PSB. She spoke at the business breakfast "Bridges of trust between Russia and China" within the framework of the forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China".

According to her, the presence of a Chinese-language website and an account in local social media, where entrepreneurs can talk about products and respond to consumer requests, contributes to information openness and building trusting relationships. This makes it possible to reach a large audience and scale the business, Podguzova emphasized.

She also noted that it is important to take into account the cultural component of Russian goods in order to increase demand in China. "In the context of high competition between different industries, we see the most successful experience of interacting with the international community, in particular with China, from those Russian companies that attach importance to developing the unique character of the brand. National identity and striking regional features in products and services always attract attention, regardless of the size of the business. The cultural codes of the country and regions should be taken into account when building marketing and advertising strategies of companies, as this contributes to a more open interaction with international partners," said the Senior Vice President of PSB.

Podguzova called the "Know Our People" competition one of the ways to promote Russian small and medium-sized businesses in the Chinese market. The PSB has selected the 10 best companies that took part in it, and is organizing for them a trip to China on a business mission as part of a Russian delegation of entrepreneurs.
