- The Pobeda bloc will support the opposition after not being allowed to participate in the elections in Moldova.
The Moldovan opposition bloc Pobeda will declare its support for one of the political forces of the opposition after its members were not allowed to participate in the elections. This was announced on August 20 by the leader of the Ilan Shor bloc.
"We will identify the political force that guarantees that fair parliamentary elections will be held after the victory of the opposition. And we will call on our supporters to support her," Shor addressed the citizens of the republic on the Telegram channel.
The politician called for fighting for the change of the current leadership of the country. He stated that Moldovan President Maia Sandu and the Action and Solidarity party are enemies of their own state, and the Victory bloc's struggle with them will be uncompromising.
On August 19, the Chisinau Court of Appeal restricted the activities of the parties belonging to the Moldovan opposition bloc "Victory": "Renaissance", "Chance", "The Power of Alternative and Salvation of Moldova" and "Victory". It was noted that the restriction would remain in effect until the consideration of the claim of the Ministry of Justice, which requires recognizing these parties as the legal successors of the unconstitutional Shor party and liquidating them.
Prior to that, on August 17, the Moldovan police reported that 69 people had been detained at a protest of the Pobeda opposition bloc, and 148 protocols had been drawn up due to various offenses. The participants of the rally demanded the release of political prisoners and an end to repression against the opposition.
