Rescuers went to Kyrgyzstan to evacuate a Russian citizen from a mountain peak
In Kyrgyzstan, a group of rescuers went to evacuate Natalia Nogovitsina, a Russian citizen who was stuck in the area of Victory Peak. This was announced on August 19 by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
"Natalia [Nogovitsyna] is still at the top, at an altitude of more than 7,000 m. A group of rescuers has been sent there," the source told TASS.
The fact that 47-year-old Natalia was stuck on Victory Peak at an altitude of 7 thousand meters with a broken leg was reported earlier in the day by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. It was noted that the woman's partner gave her first aid and went for help. The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that due to the almost zero visibility in the mountainous region, the next rescue operation is scheduled only for August 20.
