Large-scale modernization of the sewerage system has begun in Krasnodar
A large-scale modernization of the wastewater disposal system has started in Krasnodar. The service life of some collectors has exceeded 65 years, with a norm of 25 years, said Mayor Evgeny Naumov in an interview with the Yuzhanin blog.
"The foundation laid many years ago has exhausted its resources. The time has come for a full—scale replacement," said the mayor, quoted by KrasnodarMedia news agency.
According to Naumov, workers are currently restoring the 23-kilometer-long central collector, which has been in an abandoned state for a long time. At the same time, a storm sewer system is being installed from the Western Bypass to the village of Kolosisty. Specialists have less than 2 km of pipes left to lay.
As the mayor noted, the first results of the work are already visible — the number of floods in problem areas has decreased. In the near future, the construction of the Vishnyakovsky collector with modern sewage treatment plants will begin.
Special attention is paid to combating illegal intrusion into the sewage disposal system. Television inspection complexes with cameras have been purchased to monitor violations. The devices allow you to detect damage and unauthorized connections.
Earlier it was reported that a Disneyland-like park will be built in Krasnodar in five years. An all-season recreation area will appear on the territory of the former Krasnodar porcelain factory "Chaika", at the intersection of Lisa Chaikina and Uralskaya streets. The contract for 14 billion rubles has already been signed with the investor.
