During the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow, two unarmed men tried to prevent the shooting of people, but were themselves killed by terrorists. This was reported on August 19 by TASS with reference to the materials of the criminal case.

A witness to the tragedy said that he saw one of the terrorists begin to reload his weapon. At that moment, an unknown man in a white sweatshirt ran towards him, wanting to stop the terrorist. However, the second attacker, who was nearby, immediately opened fire on the man.

"A second man in a black sweatshirt ran to the aid of this man, who was also shot at point blank range. The witness believes that these men were trying to resist and save people," the case file says.

It is known that the interrogated witness came to the concert with his wife. During the attack, they were able to hide under the security counter, thanks to which they survived.

The participants in the trial reported on August 15 that the verdict in the case of the terrorist act in Crocus City Hall could be announced before the new year. It was clarified that three meetings are held on this case "almost without delay" every week. The trial of the defendants began on August 4, and it is taking place behind closed doors.
