For the first time, the Belarusian car brand has entered the top five Russian market leaders

For the first time, the Belarusian brand Belgee has entered the top five most popular in the Russian car market. This was reported on August 18 by the analytical agency Autostat. According to the results of the 33rd week of this year (from August 11 to August 17), 1,682 Belgee cars were sold in Russia.

Lada is still at the top of the rating (6015 cars per week). Haval is in second place with 3,276 cars sold. This was followed by Chery (2,220 units) and Geely (1,897 units).

The Belgee brand became the fifth, ahead of Changan (1,378 units), Jetour (875 units), Solaris (743 units), Toyota (697 units) and Omoda (640 units). The indicators of the other brands did not reach 500 cars.

A total of 25.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia last week. This is 8% less than a week earlier, and 15% less than in the same period last year.

Earlier, on August 11, it was reported that the modernization of production had been completed at the Belarusian plant of the Northern Administrative District Belji. The changes primarily affected the welding and body painting workshops. After the modernization, the number of robots in the factory was increased from 10 to 43 units. The measures taken made it possible to increase the production of cars from 15 to 30 units per hour.
