The price of Ai-92 gasoline on the stock exchange set a new record after September 2023

The cost of Ai-92 gasoline during trading on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange has updated the historical record recorded on September 18, 2023. As follows from the data on the site's website on August 18, the price of fuel exceeded 71 thousand rubles per ton.

According to the territorial index of the European part of Russia, the Ai-92 brand rose by 1.28% during the trading day (to 71,309 rubles per ton). The Ai-95 gasoline brand increased in price by 1.86% (to 80,301 rubles per ton), and its maximum cost on Monday was up to 80,510 rubles per ton.

According to the results of the trading session in St. Petersburg, the cost of summer diesel fuel increased by 0.93% (to 59,274 rubles per ton). Fuel oil rose in price by 3.25% (to 23,642 rubles per ton). The price of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) decreased by 4.09% (to 20,274 rubles per ton), jet fuel — by 0.3% (to 71,408 rubles per ton).

The authorities intend to cover the missing volumes of fuel with supplies from Belarus.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia reported on August 4 that the agency is considering the possibility of increasing the minimum volume of gasoline sales on the stock exchange from 15 to 17%. They noted that such a measure would help ensure pricing transparency and minimize the risks of unjustified price increases. At the same time, the FAS announced that it would monitor prices at about 12,000 gas stations.

On the same day, the price of Ai-95 gasoline exceeded 77 thousand rubles per ton, updating the price record of September 2023.
