The expanded list of the Russian national football team for friendly games in September includes, in particular, Alexey and Anton Miranchuk, Danil and Kirill Glebov. This was announced on August 18 by the press service of the Russian club.

It is specified that there are 39 players on the list for the national team's matches with Jordan and Qatar. According to Sport-Express, among them are PSG football player Matvey Safonov, Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin, Atlanta United midfielder Alexei Miranchuk and his brother Anton Miranchuk, who plays for Sion.

According to Valery Karpin, head coach of the Russian national team, the list was based on the athletes' past achievements and the coaching staff's understanding of the players' capabilities.

"Some players are showing themselves clearly now, and some are not playing, but we know their potential, capabilities and experience, so we include them in the expanded list," Karpin said, his words are quoted on the press service's website.

Russia will play against Jordan on September 4 in Moscow. The match against Qatar will take place in Riyadh on September 7.
