Zubaydullo Ismoilov, an accomplice of the terrorists who attacked the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, hid in a mosque in Dagestan, fearing that he would be caught. This was reported on August 18 by RIA Novosti with reference to the materials of the criminal case.
Ismoilov learned that a counter-terrorism operation was underway in Dagestan on March 31, 2024, from a message on TV.
"He was afraid that he would be detained. <...> He hid in a mosque in the village of Novy Agachaul in the Republic of Dagestan, where he was detained," the agency quotes from the document.
Before the arrest, the defendant managed to contact an acquaintance and asked to buy him a ticket to Turkey.
The participants in the trial reported on August 15 that the verdict in the case of the terrorist act in Crocus City Hall could be announced before the new year. It was clarified that three meetings are held on this case "almost without delay" every week. The trial of the defendants began on August 4, and it is taking place behind closed doors.
The terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall was staged by terrorists on March 22, 2024. The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, reported on June 23 that 149 people died as a result of the tragedy, one was missing, and another 609 were injured.
