Four people died in an accident on a highway in the Sverdlovsk region.
In the Sverdlovsk region, four people died in an accident on the 267th km of the Yekaterinburg—Tyumen highway, near the village of Tugulym. This was announced on August 17 by the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.
"The death toll has increased to four people," reads a message posted on the Telegram channel.
According to preliminary information, as a result of the incident, a truck collided with a Scania semi-trailer and a Chery passenger car.
It is specified that the bodies of all the victims were removed from the passenger car. The truck driver was taken to a hospital in Tyumen.
The department added that a temporary traffic management scheme remains in place on the highway section. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
On the same day, it was reported that as a result of a collision between two cars in the Perm Region, two people were killed and four others were injured. It is specified that the accident occurred on the 72nd km of the Perm — Berezniki highway at 8:05 a.m. local time (6:05 a.m. Moscow time). All the injured were hospitalized.
