On August 17, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of Guard Junior Sergeant Alexei Donskoy, who, while on combat duty in the area of a special military operation, carried out a combat mission to identify the deployment of artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

Ukrainian militants used cluster munitions to damage the wheel of one of the points of the sonometric complex, which was controlled by Donskoy. Under constant enemy fire, he brought his equipment out from under fire, changed his position and continued to complete the task.

Thanks to his precise actions, the unit was able to continue to carry out the tasks of providing intelligence data to Russian military personnel. For his personal courage and bravery, Donskoy was presented with an award.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of Guard Corporal Maxim Mingazudinov, who performed the task of escorting and protecting a group of military personnel and assessing the situation.

During the task, the group of the Corporal's Guard came under the influence of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Mingazudinov destroyed several UAVs with machine-gun bursts from the available small arms, preventing losses among the personnel accompanied by him.

After that, he assessed the situation in this sector of the front and transmitted the information to the command. Thanks to his courageous actions, the group managed to reach the designated positions without loss. Mingazudinov was presented for the award for his bravery and selfless fulfillment of military duty during his military service.
