Two schools over 50 years old will be renovated in Lipetsk
Two schools, built more than half a century ago, will be renovated in Lipetsk. The city construction department announced the search for contractors, GOROD48 reported on Friday, August 15.
Thus, more than 178 million rubles are planned to be spent on the renovation of school No. 49 on Vermisheva Street, 16. The building was built in 1969. It should be repaired by December 31, 2026.
153 million rubles will be allocated for the upgrade of educational institution No. 51, located at 51a Moskovskaya Street. According to the plans, the 1973 facility will be put in order by August 30, 2026.
The Department of Education expressed the hope that the contractors would deliver the facilities ahead of schedule.
Earlier, Izvestia reported that about 400-500 rural schools are closed in Russia every year. So, in two years, 861 such schools stopped functioning. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, it became known about the impending closure of rural educational institutions in at least 11 regions.
