The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of the liberation of Alexandrograd in the DPR

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Alexandrograd in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes footage of the operation on August 15.

With the support of artillery, soldiers of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Vostok group of forces were able to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and gain a foothold on the outskirts of the settlement. Further, the stormtroopers destroyed the enemy's firing points and strongholds.

It is noted that during the operation, UAV operators conducted aerial reconnaissance and eliminated the equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the ministry, 10 pieces of military equipment, a field artillery piece and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

The liberation of Alexandrograd became known earlier that day. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the settlement was cleared thanks to the decisive and active actions of the Vostok group of forces unit.

On August 14, Russian military personnel liberated the settlement of Iskra in the DPR. Then the enemy put up stubborn resistance, but the assault brigades broke down the Ukrainian defenses, completely knocking out the militants from the settlement.
