The law allows you to take and spend part of the maternity capital for any purpose, but only if it is a question of the remaining payment. This was announced on Thursday, August 14, by Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of Russia.

In conversation with aif.ru he explained that you can withdraw the balance if its amount does not exceed 10 thousand rubles and the certificate holder has such a desire. To do this, you need to submit an application through the Gosuslugi portal, to the Social Fund of the Russian Federation or to the IFC. The review takes up to 10 business days, and five more days are allocated for transferring funds to the specified bank account.

The economist recalled that maternity capital is a measure of state support for families with children within the framework of the national project "Family". Currently, at the birth of the first child, the payment is 690,266.95 rubles, at the birth of the second — an additional 221,895.14 rubles. If a second or subsequent child has appeared in the family, and the right to payment has not previously arisen, the amount will be 912,162.09 rubles.
