Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces who took part in the liberation of the settlements of Iskra and Shcherbinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, and noted their valor and courage. The texts of the appeals were posted on the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry on August 14.

"Your valor, steadfastness and dedication to duty serve as a shining example for all who are proud defenders of our Fatherland. In the most difficult moments, you demonstrate indomitable will, the highest professionalism and true fighting spirit," Belousov emphasized, addressing the soldiers of the 36th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade who took part in the liberation of Iskra.
