Three men died after drinking counterfeit alcohol in Leningrad region

In the city of Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region, three men died after drinking counterfeit alcohol, and another woman is in intensive care. This was reported on August 14 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"On August 13, 2025, three men died as a result of toxic poisoning after drinking a non-freezing liquid. Another woman is in the intensive care unit of a medical institution," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that these alcoholic products were made from a non-freezing liquid, which is used only for domestic purposes. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under the article on the production of goods that do not meet safety requirements and caused the death of two or more people.
