A woman who kept explosives at home was detained in the Kherson region.

In the Kherson region, the activities of a Russian citizen who was storing explosives and explosive devices were stopped. This was announced on August 14 by the regional department of the FSB of Russia.

It is specified that the malefactor, born in 1986, illegally stored hand grenades and fuses for them at her place of residence.

"The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kherson region has initiated and is investigating a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Illegal possession of explosive devices and explosives)," the statement said.

It is specified that for illegal actions she may face a penalty of up to 12 years in prison. At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident and identifying the criminal connections of the woman.
