Grades for school behavior will be introduced in seven regions of the Russian Federation starting this academic year. Olga Letkova, Chairman of the Association of Parents' Committees and Communities of Russia, told about this on August 14 at the Izvestia News Center during a press conference on the topic: "What changes are waiting for Russian schools in the new academic year?"

"Children need to be disciplined, there must be a conscious attitude — parents understand this. In general, the initiative is welcome," she said.

According to Letkova, behavior will be assessed according to the standard five-point system, as well as "offsetting" or "not offsetting."

On April 15, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation approved standards for homework completion for elementary school students. It was noted that students should spend one hour on homework in the first grade, one and a half hours in the second and third grades, and two hours in the fourth grade.
