FSB: the damage to Ukraine from the destruction of the production of Sapsan missiles is enormous

Ukraine has suffered enormous damage from Russia's operation to disrupt the production of the Sapsan tactical missile system. This was announced on August 14 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

"The damage to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex from the operation is enormous," the report says.

The FSB stressed that four large industrial facilities in Ukraine were affected when the Sapsan missile defense system production program was disrupted. Their destruction was confirmed by satellite imagery, technical means and information from open sources.

It is noted that for the secret development of the missile program, Kiev used the reserves and technologies of the USSR. With the help of the OTRK and the permission of the curators from NATO, the Kiev regime planned to strike deep into the territory of Russia.

The Ukrainian authorities may rely on an upgraded version of the Soviet rocket.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian military personnel had prevented the development of the Sapsan missile defense system by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is specified that this complex was capable of striking at a distance of up to 750 km. To accomplish the task, the Russian Armed Forces attacked four facilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

Later, the FSB revealed the details of this operation. Information about the start of Ukraine's production of OTRK was received back in 2024. It is specified that the data was received after the implementation of technical penetration into the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. In addition, the experts managed to uncover the facilities involved in the development of the Sapsan, as well as the involvement of the German side in financing the missile program.
