US President Donald Trump has said there is a good chance of a second meeting on Ukraine after the summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska. He announced this on August 13.
"If the first meeting goes well, we will hold, I will say, a second meeting. I would like to hold it almost immediately," the US president said during a visit to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.
Trump also did not rule out that after the meeting with Putin, a trilateral summit of Russia, the United States and Ukraine could be organized promptly. He added that he had a "good conversation" with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky before the summit in Alaska.
