People's Artist of the Russian Federation Ivan Krasko was buried next to his son at the Komarovsky cemetery in St. Petersburg. Footage from the funeral on Wednesday, August 13, is published by Izvestia.
His relatives fulfilled the artist's will and buried him in a naval tunic with the shoulder straps of a lieutenant commander next to his son Andrei. The ceremony was attended by family members, colleagues and friends of Krasko.
The farewell to Krasko took place earlier that day at the St. Petersburg Academic Drama Theater named after V.F. Komissarzhevskaya. The coffin was carried out of the theater to applause and shouts of "Bravo!"
Krasko died on August 9 at the age of 94 after a serious illness. The People's Artist has produced more than 200 feature films, TV series and film performances.
