Belousov discussed with military officers the supply of samples of unmanned systems to the free zone

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov held a meeting with military correspondents and discussed the production and supply of samples of unmanned systems to the special military operation zone. This was announced on August 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"They discussed a wide range of issues related to the production and supply of samples of unmanned systems to the area of their deployment, their repair and restoration directly in the units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, increasing the effectiveness of their use and means of countering enemy UAVs," the department's Telegram channel says.

In addition, during the meeting, which was also attended by Izvestia military commander Leonid Kitrari, the topic of developing the National Defense Industrial Complex (MIC) in the field of unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare (EW), unmanned boats and other types of weapons and equipment was touched upon.

The war correspondents, in turn, turned to Belousov with initiatives to improve social support measures for participants in the special operation and medical support for the military in the combat zone. It is noted that more than 130 similar initiatives have already been implemented.

On July 3, Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center (NRC), pointed to the significant growth of the role of unmanned systems of various types in the modern world. In particular, he stressed that unmanned aircraft systems have actually replaced traditional small aircraft.
