Mishustin pointed out the importance of the hotel classification system in Russia
By September 1 of this year, all hotels, campsites, recreation centers and sanatoriums must be registered in the unified register of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This was announced on August 13 by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
"Such data will be necessary for the booking system to make it easier for people to book or book a comfortable trip, a place of residence, and to ensure that the quality of services meets the parameters described by the same rest homes and sanatoriums," Mishustin said during a working meeting with Dmitry Volvach, head of the Federal Accreditation Service.
The head of Rosaccreditation said that 9 thousand placement funds have already been evaluated and entered into the register. Also, thanks to the registry, more than 3 thousand accommodation facilities were included in the department's monitoring area for the first time.
"We have whitewashed the market and increased revenues. <...> [We] will create uniform rules for all market participants and ensure guaranteed service and quality of travel services for Russian and foreign travelers," Volvach said.
The state should do everything to provide high-quality relevant public services so that the services are convenient for citizens, Mishustin concluded.
Analysts of the Avito Travel accommodation booking service informed Izvestia on July 26 that the top 5 most popular travel destinations in Russia this summer included St. Petersburg (13% of all bookings), Krasnodar Krai (12%), Moscow, Kaliningrad Region and Tatarstan (6 each%).
