President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will arrive in Berlin to participate in a video conference with US President Donald Trump. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on August 13.

"Zelensky will arrive in Berlin today. He will take part in a video conference with US President Donald Trump at the office of the German Chancellor, along with Friedrich Merz," the newspaper notes.

The purpose of the meeting is to prepare for talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American Leader Trump, which will take place on August 15 in Alaska.

In addition, Merz wants to coordinate possible peace talks with several heads of state and government.
