It is specified that the US vessel entered the waters off the island of Huangyan without the approval of the Chinese government.

"The Chinese Navy <...> has deployed its forces to track, monitor, warn and expel the destroyer in accordance with laws and regulations," the material says.

As indicated by CCTV, such actions by the United States infringe on the sovereignty and security of the PRC, as well as violate international law.
