The car of the attackers on the Crocus stopped only after a collision with an oncoming vehicle.

The car driven by the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall stopped only when it collided with a vehicle moving in the opposite direction. This is evidenced by the published case materials on August 13.

So, according to the documents, the wheels of the car in which the criminals were trying to escape from the chase and leave the territory of the Russian Federation were shot through with four shots. The vehicle "swerved along the road and pulled over to the right shoulder," but the driver continued driving. Then law enforcement officers used automatic weapons of the AKSU-74 model (5.45mm Kalashnikov assault rifle, folding and shortened), after which the rear wheel and glass of the pursued car were damaged.

"The car began to noticeably slow down, at that moment a minibus was moving in the opposite direction. The driver <...> sent the car into a head-on collision with a minibus. At the last moment, the minibus driver used a dodge maneuver to avoid the impact. Despite this, it was not possible to avoid a collision," TASS cites the contents of the documents.

It is noted that the accident occurred on the 376th kilometer of the M-3 highway "Ukraine" in Navlinsky district of the Bryansk region.

The perpetrators of the attack on the Krokus were caught thanks to surveillance footage that the police officers who were in the concert hall managed to see when they found the terrorists' backpack. It was clarified that one of the security officers managed to take a machine gun out of the building. All these items later became physical evidence, which was attached to the case.
