- Orban ridiculed EU leaders for trying to set conditions for Russia and the United States
The leaders of the European Union (EU) member states are showing weakness and looking pathetic by trying to set conditions for US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin before their talks in Alaska. This was announced on August 12 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"If there is a European issue that you have to solve <...>, but you are not able to do it, and two strong people, the presidents of Russia and the United States, sit down at the negotiating table, while you object from the outside, then you are pathetic and weak," he wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta company, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
