Those detained for robbing a post office in Moscow were charged
The participants in the attack on the Moscow post office and their accomplices have been charged with robbery. This was reported on August 11 in the Telegram channel of the Moscow prosecutor's office.
"All the detainees have been charged under clauses "a, b" of Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery committed by an organized group on an especially large scale")," the report says.
The prosecutor's office clarified that a 67-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman who carried out the robbery, as well as three of their accomplices, who helped the attackers escape from the crime scene, were detained. As the department added, in the near future the court will consider the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention for all the accused.
The robbery took place on August 8 in the Tsaritsyno area. It was reported that two unidentified men, wearing masks, threatened an employee with an object structurally similar to a pistol, stole money and fled. A criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery"). Later, on August 9, police officers detained the suspects. 142 thousand rubles were seized from them.
The company's press service told Izvestia that Russian Post customers would not suffer due to the actions of intruders. It was noted that the funds operated by the Russian Post are insured.
