Competitions in more than ten sports are included in the Sports Games program of the tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 3-6 in Vladivostok. The WEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

"Sports events have become an important part of the Eastern Economic Forum. Sport not only helps to test yourself, your endurance and fortitude. Competitions are also about mutual assistance, support, and respect for yourself and your opponent. Sport allows you to become physically strong and strengthen the will to achieve. Besides, sport is inextricably linked with patriotism. Two sites of the WARRIOR Center will be organized at the Forum. This center for military sports training and patriotic education of youth was established on behalf of the President of Russia. At the Forum, it will be possible to learn about the center's programs and take part in its sports events. The Far Eastern regions have also prepared their own sports programs at the Far East Street exhibition," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The All-Russian sledge hockey competition "Cup of Heroes of Our Time" will be held in Vladivostok. The six best teams of the Defenders of the Fatherland Cup, which took place in Khanty-Mansiysk, will compete for the victory. Veterans of a special military operation will take to the ice as part of the teams.

"The adaptive sports tournament is included in the WEF sports program for the first time. Sledge hockey is one example of how sport contributes to the social adaptation of ITS heroes. As throughout its ten–year history, the jubilee WEF will act as an effective platform for the development of international dialogue in sports and will tell about the development of the Far East as a sports center," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of Russia, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the WEF.

Athletes from more than ten countries, including China, Cuba, Iran and Mongolia, will compete at the Vladivostok International Regatta, the Pacific Curling Cup and the Mas Wrestling Victory Cup.

"As Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin notes, the Far East has become an important factor in strengthening Russia's position in the world. This fully applies to sports. A number of important meetings with sports leaders from foreign countries will take place at the WEF venues. Curling, coastal rowing and mas-wrestling tournaments will be held in the international format. I would like to note that the Pacific Curling Cup will be held in a new House with ice. We will discuss the development of sports infrastructure and increasing the accessibility of sports in the region as part of the busy agenda of the Ministry of Sports pavilion," said Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and President of the Russian Olympic Committee.

The program of the games was formed by the Roscongress Foundation in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Sports, the All-Russian federations and the Russian Paralympic Committee.

The morning of the first day of the Forum's business program will begin with the traditional "Fight and Win" race. Forum participants and residents of Vladivostok will run five kilometers in the park of the Primorsky Aquarium. Registration for the race is open in your personal account. WEF participants will also be able to play in chess, table tennis and lawn tennis tournaments.

In addition, the children's tournament "Cup of Hope", named after the award-winning tennis player Nadezhda Petrova, will be held within the framework of the forum. The former third racket of the world has been supporting young talented tennis players from the Far East for years and will meet with them again at the WEF.

One of the most striking sporting events of the WEF will be the IV Sail Parade. Residents and guests of Vladivostok will see races on yachts of the class "Board-25", as well as demonstration sailings of large sailboats in the waters of the Amur Bay.

The main sports program of the WEF will be preceded by the Monte Carlo Radio Regatta, which will be held on August 17 in Moscow. In addition, the WEF Show Jumping Cup will be held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the eve of the Forum.
