NB8 countries appreciated Trump's initiative on settlement in Ukraine
The countries of the North Baltic Eight (NB8) have supported the initiative of US President Donald Trump on the conflict settlement process in Ukraine. The corresponding joint statement was published on the Norwegian Government's website on August 10.
The participating countries declared their readiness to make their diplomatic contribution to the settlement, "while maintaining military and financial support for Ukraine."
The authors of the document expressed the opinion that the launched process would have to guarantee the "vital" interests of Kiev and Europe. The need for reliable security guarantees was highlighted separately.
