A case was opened in Novosibirsk in connection with the theft of a bag containing 1.7 million rubles from a teenager.

A criminal case has been opened in Novosibirsk on the fact of an assault on a 12-year-old teenager, during which a bag with more than 1 million rubles was stolen from him. This was announced on Sunday, August 10, by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"On Tatiana Snezhina Street in Novosibirsk, a man, threatening violence, committed a robbery on a 12-year—old teenager and stole a bag with money from him," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery").

On the same day, the boy's uncle Igor told Izvestia that they went to the bank to withdraw 1 million 700 thousand rubles. When they were returning, it started to rain and the man got wet. The child had a bag at the same time, so the man sent him home alone. The victim, Artyom, clarified that he had almost reached home when an unknown assailant attacked him.
