The US approach to the conflict in Ukraine has changed. This was announced on August 9 by retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis of the American Army.

"The administration of [former US President Joe] Biden used to say that something cannot be solved in Ukraine without Ukraine itself. These were all empty words <...> Now [US President Donald] Trump doesn't even pretend that everything has changed.
