The number of victims of the cable car breakage in Nalchik has increased to eight
The number of injured in the breakage of the chairlift in the resort area of Nalchik has increased to eight, one of them is in intensive care. This was reported on August 8 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of Kabardino-Balkaria.
"Two more victims were taken to the Republican Clinical Hospital (RCB) as a result of a cable car breakage in the city of Nalchik," the department's Telegram channel says.
They noted that four people were hospitalized, and one is in serious condition in intensive care, two patients of moderate severity are currently being examined. Two more have already been released home after the examination.
The cable car broke earlier in the day. A criminal case was opened into the incident under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, which negligently caused serious harm").
